We need to find a way to get Carter going with Kopi. Toffoli just looks like a solid fit with Richards. Unless we run Carter at C and Richards on the LW. Kid is just to good to not be on our roster. Having him in seems to have the rest of the team going. Vey has looked fantastic. He makes moves that our veterans try and fail at all the time ( ala Brown). I think once Stoll is healthy that Fraser is waived. If Vey can keep it up there isnt any reason to send him down for dead weight to be inserted like Fraser. Also I think our defense looks better without Greene in. I love the guy and his brute force. But hes literally just to slow to be very effective. The moment hes caught out of position he cant skate to fix his error so hes always gonna be a penalty. I think Muzzin is looking good with DD. Amart with Mitchell is looking solid. And Mitchell seems to be getting better the more games that he plays. Greene hasnt looked like he got back into the swing of things.

I dont think that was Toff's first multipoint game. Yeah it was his second multipoint game of his career.

Thanks! Kids were great. I agree with your previous post, got to find a way to get Carter in the lineup but not break up that natural chemistry that looks to exist between Richards/Toffy

Thankfully missed watching the game live, watched it on my PVR and was definitely impressed with the play of Vey and Toffoli. Good to see Willie have a good game, had a buddy who met him when he was a Canuck that said he was a super nice guy.

Clearly the Kings are still a notch above the Canucks when they actually get fired up for a game(is their rep for starting slow in cruise control legit?).

Probably the most consistent part of their game.

It was a good game to watch. I am not disappointed .Sometimes you get your ass kicked in hockey, and that happened last night .

Nice to see Brown holding his reputation as the biggest diver in the nhl.

Its far from. But it isnt like every teams players dont dive. And im not saying he doesnt dive. But biggest. Come on man. You know who your favorite team is. Just because Tortz has gotten your guys straight. Dont get to far ahead of yourself.

I know every team has divers. Kesler is 2nd worst in the league behind Brown.

Good game for LA, absolutely dominated! As a Leafs fan I am wondering how Frattin is playing? I watched the game last night and hardly noticed him. Help me out here LA fans because I always liked this guy in Toronto.

Just an outsider's view:

Never thought he would fit in LA. He seems like the type of player who would play best on a speedy/rush team like the Isles or Leafs IMO. Kings aren't slow, but they love to cycle the puck and play a strong puck possession game along the boards

In regards to Frattin, I too had hopes for him. At this point he is a solid 3rd liner. Nothing special, clearly pro style, but I would agree he is definitely built for speed teams like the Leafs and Isles.

He is starting to hit in defensive zone, so that is nice to see after seeing him squeamish for the first month.

I believe if it wasn't for the reduced salary cap, Lombardi would have gotten more for Bernier. At that time it was cap business deal, which I think for only 1 mill a year. Frattin and Scrivs was solid, but Bernier is definitely proving to be worth more coming off the 9-1-1 season last year.

I would agree with the other assessments here: Good player but in the wrong type of system for him.

His situation reminds me of Moulson, Purcell and Boyle when they were on the Kings...
